On June 4th, takes place the International Seminar “Patents and innovation with global impact” in Santiago, Chile (Chile). This is a specialized event that seeks to inform about internationalization strategies through patents and is aimed at academics, professionals of industry and technology transfer.

The event is organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) of Chile and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with the support of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. The session will address topics on patents, innovations and ventures with an international focus.

The day will be divided into three themes:

Overview of the Patent Cooperation Treaty and patenting strategies (PCT)
The Spanish experience in the use of the PCT
The use of the PCT as a strategy for the internationalization of Chilean technologies.

In addition, during this instance the launch of the PCT User’s Guide will be carried out.
