Round table “Multilateral Patent System: Challenges and Opportunities“, organized by the Colombian Intellectual Property Association (ACPI) and the Intellectual Property Law And related areas in Colombia, takes place in Bogota, Colombia on the 9th of February.

Currently, patents are one of the main sources of information in the practice of technology scouting and cover all sectors of technology development. Approximately 70% of the literature on technology is made only through patents documents. Those, provide organizations with relevant, detailed and anticipatory information regarding new products or technologies in the market. In addition, they are internationally standard documents and the access to their databases is free, as can be learned in #MoocVT “technology and business information” from the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM).
