From 2 to 4 November is celebrated in Bogotá (Colombia) the III International Congress on research and innovation in science and technology of food, IICTA 2016, along with the 2nd international seminar of biodegradable packaging. It’s a scientific event of international scope, promoted by the Institute of science and food technology (ICTA) of the Universidad National de Colombia, under the slogan “Innovation, development and entrepreneurship for the agri-food Sector”.
these meetings aim to socialize advances scientific, technological and innovation in the agri-food sector at the national and international level with the participation of students, professionals and entrepreneurs committed to agribusiness development. for this purpose, will count with the participation of speakers from Italy, France, USA, Spain, Brazil, among others.
online, the event will allow the meeting of a multidisciplinary group of academics research, industrial, trade and Government for an update and successful appropriation of subject areas related to: engineering and technology of agroalimentary processes; quality of food, nutrition and functional foods; research and development of biodegradable packaging; development, innovation and entrepreneurship food.
for its part, the 2nd international seminar on biodegradable packaging arises as a result of the research in the development of biodegradable packaging as alternatives to the use of conventional synthetic plastics within the framework of the project of royalties from research and development of biodegradable packaging.
IICTA 2016 is also open to the participation of all stakeholders. It will publish papers accepted for oral presentation and poster in the form of short article. Articles received will be evaluated and those who comply with the quality requirements will be published in a Special supplement in the Agronomy Colombian Journal of the Faculty of agricultural sciences, Bogotá headquarters.
