WMC 2016: World meat Congress
From 7 to 9 November held in Punta del Este (Uruguay) the International Congress of meat, WMC 2016. A global event promoted by the International Permanent Bureau of meat (OPIC) and the National Institute of Uruguay meats (INAC) to build a first global agenda in the meat and agribusiness sectors.

From 7 to 9 November, held in Punta del Este (Uruguay) the International Congress of meat, WMC 2016. A world event promoted by the International Permanent Bureau of meat (OPIC) and the National Institute of Uruguay meats (INAC) to build a first global agenda of the meat sector and agri-food.

Congress is held for the first time in Uruguay and aims to reflect on the future challenges to ensure the sustainability of global production from the visions of the different actors of the sector at the international level. As diplomatic result proposes the creation of the first global meat sector agenda, focused on seven topics to discuss:

  • tendencies of market.
  • TPCs countries.
  • animal health and welfare.
  • Consumer loyalty.
  • Sustainability.
  • Health and human nutrition.
  • The meat chain governance.
