LATIPAT is a specialised international reference database in patents in Spanish and Portuguese. It is a useful tool for technology monitoring strategies management within an Ibero-American scope.
LATIPAT: patent database within an Ibero-American scope
LATIPAT is promoted by an international agreement between the WIPO, EPO and OEPM offices to promote the dissemination of patent information in Spanish and Portuguese, contained in the patent documents published by the national offices of the Ibero-American countries. To do this, LATIPAT tool uses the Esp@cenet platform and INVENES. The database coverage allows access to more than one and a half million pf patent documents, with an emphasis on bibliographic data and images.
