From June 29 to July 1 held in Malaga (Spain) the seventeenth National Congress of geographic information technology, promoted by the Association of Geographers of Spain (Group of technologies in geographic information), the University of Málaga (Department of geography, European Topic Centre and Faculty of tourism) and the Association of Geographers of Spain.

Held in Malaga (Spain) the XVII National Congress of geographic information technology, promoted by the Association of Geographers of Spain (Group of technologies of the information geographic), the University of Málaga (Department of geography, European Topic Centre and Faculty of tourism) and the Association of Geographers of Spain from June 29 to July 1.

The meeting between institutions, companies and researchers, seeks to show in a transversal way, the most advanced knowledge in the field of geographic information technologies applied to the sustainable economic development . Technology at the service of the quality of life and the development of local resources in terms of sustainability to promote the transfer of knowledge and the advancement of the different areas that compose it, with the ultimate aim of this knowledge to become a good generator of employment and wealth.
