From September 21 to 23, the Latin American Open Science Forum is held in Buenos Aires (Argentina). A meeting aimed at creating a discussing plan and monitor the scientific-technological integration of the region and the role of science, technology and innovation for sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean Region.

This new edition responds to the slogan “Transforming our region: Science that Includes”, and will be addressed through three thematic axes framed in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development:

Artificial Intelligence, ethical and social challenges for development.
Digital Economy and productive integration.
Inclusive Science Innovation and development are only achieved when society as a whole participates in the creation of knowledge in favour of prosperity, and in this process the inclusion of minorities that were excluded during years of technological scientific production is inescapable.

These themes are materialized through four areas of intervention:

Science for business innovation.
Scientific policies.
Universities for development.
Cultivating sciences and citizenship.

These areas of intervention represent the guidelines for the call for papers, through which proposals for thematic sessions and parallel events may be presented until December 31, 2019.
