On June 25 and 26 the II-CELAC Academic and Knowledge Summit is held in Santiago de Compostela (Spain). The meeting will bring together more than 500 participants from Ibero-American universities and the European Union, as well as institutional and political authorities in the City of Culture, with the aim of promoting cooperation and inclusive development in higher education, the exchange of knowledge and innovation and technology transfer .
Its celebration will continue the process of open dialogue started in El San Salvador in 2017, for the construction of a bi-regional space in higher education, science, technology and innovation. To do this, it will promote spaces for debate and reflection on determining aspects for strengthening the bi-regional integration of higher education institutions in the Euro-Latin American and Caribbean space.
The University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) will host this II international summit, which it organizes in collaboration with the Xunta de Galicia, the universities of Vigo (Uvigo) and A Coruña (UDC), the CELAC-UE University Council, the Iberoamerican General Secretariat (SEGIB) and the Iberoamerican University Council (CUIB).
