The 1st Conference of Educational Innovation of the National Technological University of Buenos Aires, focused on the disruptive potential of digital technologies such as virtual and augmented reality in education, is held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The meeting will offer two sessions:

Lecture by Prof. Miriam Reiner, PhD, Director of the Laboratory of Virtual Reality and Neurocognition of the Technion – Israel Technological Institute, who will lecture on the topic: Virtual and Augmented Reality: The Machinery for Improved Cognition?
Panel on the impact of Virtual and Augmented Reality on society in general and on education in particular. Participating: Marilina Lipsman, vice-secretary of Innovation and Academic Quality of the University of Buenos Aires; Fabio Tarasow, General and Academic Coordinator of the FLACSO Education and New Technologies Project; And Uriel Cukierman, Director of the Centre for Research and Educational Innovation of UTNBA.

During the meeting, the winner of the CIIE Prize for Educational Innovation will be announced. The three finalist projects were presented by: Oscar Bruno, Agustina Zangrando and Diego Berenguer.
