From the 7th to the 9th of November it was held in Valencia the I Congress of Scientific Entrepreneurs, under the topic: “From science to business”. A meeting promoted from numerous researchers and active entrepreneurs in the creation of technology based companies (spin-off) from Universities. It was organised by the Universitat of València, in collaboration with its Scientific Parc, ADEIT, and the Foundation InnDEA Valencia.
During three intense days, the meeting has gathered more than 200 congressmen, 80 presentations and oral communications and more than 50 companies. It was an important sample of the present need for tackle the entrepreneurship as a developer axis in knowledge transfer from research centres and Universities to companies and organisations of the productive and business system. As a result of this event there is the creation of the Spanish Network of Entrepreneur Scientists.
