The Virtual Observatory for Technology Transfer (OVTT) participates this Thursday, 8th March in the Workshop “Innovation and technology watch for business competitiveness” organised in San José (Costa Rica), with the Virtual Conference “OVTT: intelligent management of information to innovation in network” on-line from Spain.
The Workshop “Innovation and technology watch for business competitiveness” is organised by the University of Costa Rica (UCR), through the Chair of Innovation and Business Development and the Chambers of Industries of Costa Rica (CICR). It is headed to companies and SMEs interested in developing research, technological development and innovation in order to give answer to chalanges and be more competitive in the global world.
The workshop program is:
- 08:00 – 10:00 am – “Innovation, adding value and technology plan for companies”, by Dr. Antonio Hidalgo Nuchera, chair Professor of the Polytechnical University of Madrid (UCM).
- 10:30 – 11:30 am – “Virtual Observatory for Technology Transfer (OVTT): Intelligent management of information to innovate in network”, by Dr. Sofía Oliveira Pires, coordinator of the project, and Ms. Alba Santa Soriano, Communication and Public Relations Responsible of the OVTT, University of Alicante (UA).
- 11:30 – 12:30 am – “Importance of the technology watch for innovation”, by Ing. Mauricio Villegas Rojas, agent of Innovation in PROINNOVA (UCR).
In what concerns to the OVTT , it will count with the participation of Mr. Víctor Manuel Pérez Lozano , Deputy Director of the Technology Transfer Office of the University of Alicante ( SGITT-OTRI ), who will introduce to how this office deas with University-Industry relation-ship i n order to support and reinforce the innovative capacity of the companies and agents in the development of the territory.
The Virtual Observatory for Technology Transfer (OVTT) is a digital colaborative platform of contents and tools on technology transfer and innovation for companies and Latin American researchers, that works for promoting the social use of the scientific knowledge, the innovation and the transnational cooperation in Latin America.
The OVTT facilitates to professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers and agents of R&D the intelligent access to scientific and technological information in network and its useful application to the market. In the OVTT you will find, in addition to didactic contents and actuality, free on-line tools for technology watch with which you will be able to know, systematise and use strategic information on your sector of interest, and detect business opportunities and orient the taking of decisions in your professional activity.
It is research project based on the relation University-Company, counting with the participation of the Bank of Santander, and it is available in Spanish, Portuguese and English for all Latin American community. In the OVTT, we participate actively in the construction of the Latin American Region of Knowledge, within our frame of University Social Responsibility.
