EEN-SEIMED is member of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) The network is co-financed under the European Union’s programme for the competitiveness of SMEs (COSME). EEN-SEIMED is focussed on supporting companies in the Valencian Community and Murcia Region in Spain. The European Commission launched the Enterprise Europe Network in 2008 and since then the network helps businesses innovation and growth on an international scale. It is the world’s largest support network for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with international ambitions

The Network is active in more than 60 countries worldwide. It brings together 3,000 experts from more than 600 member organisations – all renowned for their excellence in business support.

As a consortium, EEN-SEIMED is led by the Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness (IVACE), the Institute for Promotion of Murcia Region (INFO), the Valencian Community Technological Institutes Network (REDIT), the AINIA Technology Center, the University of Alicante, the Valencia Chamber of Commerce, the Chambers of the Valencian Community Council and the European Center for Innovative Companies in Valencia.

In relation to the University of Alicante, its knowledge transfer office has been part of the network since 1995 and, consequently, it has extensive experience helping companies and research groups in international technology transfer activities. Either searching for international partners for technology cooperation, either offering their technology for meeting requests or looking for partners for international research projects.
