The Ibero-american Symposium on Waste Engineering: Towards a Circular Economy, is going to take place in June 13 and 14 at the University of Cantabria in Santander, Spain. The event is promoted by the Ibero-American Network on Waste Management and Utilization (REDISA) and the University’s Environmental Engineering Group.

In this edition, the symposium thread, the circular economy, thus it is part of one of the structural strategies of the Europe 2020 Programme: “An Europe that uses resources efficiently”. This initiative extends to the entire planet, because the objective is to implement a new economy, non-linear, that allows closing the life cycle resources and minimizing waste to ensure sustainability.
