One year more it is open the call UNIEMPRENDIA, a national referral contest to promote technology-based companies (EBT) in the university and research centers of CSIC. It is aimed at entrepreneurs with ideas, projects and business initiatives with less than 2 years of activity based on the exploitation of technologies developed at these centers.

UNIEMPRENDIA is coordinated by the University of Santiago de Compostela and is sponsored by the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, the Grupo Santander, Universia and the Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial (CDTI). The University of Alicante collaborates with RedOTRI Universities at launch.

In this seventh edition of the program, the objectives are:

  • • Identify and help grow business opportunities in the university environment.
  • • To spread the entrepreneurial culture among research groups at the university.
  • • Create a space for meeting and building relationships between technology entrepreneurs and investors.
  • • To encourage the promotion of EBT network as a model of technology management.

The contest consists of several stages. The promoters of the initiatives selected in an initial phase, will have a period of training and personalized tutoring for the development of business plan and have the opportunity to participate in the Forum NEOTEC for contact with investors.

The presentation of projects will begin on March 15th and ending on April 15th. The registration form is available from the Office of Technology Transfer for the University. Also a Technical Business Creation Network for each of the OTT’s involved, will be available to entrepreneurs to answer questions and help in the process of registration and submission of documentation.
