The Banco Santander and forty universities launch Santander X, an initiative born with the vocation to become the largest university entrepreneurship ecosystem in the world. Its objective is to create a global collaboration network in which universities and entrepreneurs can collaborate, share ideas and knowledge, and attract investment. It will also enable universities to share best practices, monitor their entrepreneurship programs and measure their impact.

In the next four years Banco Santander will allocate 50 million euros to support entrepreneurship programs in universities. By the end of 2017 there will be 900 projects connected to Santander X.

The platform was initially developed in partnership with 40 universities from 7 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Spain, Mexico, Portugal and Uruguay. The objective is to increase the number of universities adhering to the program until 50 in the next three months and finally reach more than 1,000 institutions.

The Santander X platform will offer an open and collaborative digital space in which students and entrepreneurs will have access to community resources. Thus, entrepreneurs will be able to:

Give international visibility to your projects.

Get in touch with other members of the Santander X ecosystem to develop their projects.

Find new opportunities, collaborators and mentors to help them in their entrepreneurship project.

Ask for advice to the entrepreneurship department of your university.
