The Directorate of Innovation and Technology Transfer of the Universidad de La Frontera (Temuco, Chile) is the body responsible for the development of applied scientific research, the creation and protection of intellectual property, technology transfer and the promotion of entrepreneurship and competitiveness through innovation at the Universidad de La Frontera in Chile.
The work is focused on promoting the development of R&D as an engine for improving quality of life and competitiveness, thus promoting an innovation culture with emphasis on the economic and social impact of science, technology and innovation for the region. Furthermore, this Innovation Directorate constantly seeks the creation of strategic networks with universities, innovation centres and research groups, which allow the knowledge and skills exchange, in addition to facilitating the development of scientific-technological projects.
