The Latin America and Caribbean Research Network was established in 1991 and currently has nearly 300 research institutions throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, and nearly 500 experts in economics and social development.
Through the Interamerican Competitiveness Banc (BID), several awards are granted to major American research centers to conduct studies on Econonic and social issues that are important to most of the regions.
