The International Centre for Science and High Technology ( ICS-UNIDO ) operates within the legal framework of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and is located in Italy.
ICS-UNIDO promotes research in science and high technology through grants, workshops, meetings, expert panels, training, networks and e-learning in areas such as chemistry, environment, health and new materials.
Its programs are intended primarily to:
- To promote the state of the art in research and transfer of scientific knowledge through training.
- Supporting scientific communities in developing countries.
- Attracting benefits for scientists, technologists and companies participating in projects.
- Prepare policy makers with experience in managing technology based on science and technology.
