The 2nd of October it is held in Madrid the V Forum for the future of agriculture, promoted by the European Landowners’ Organization and Syngenta.

This event is the continuation of the previous conference developed the past month of March in Brussels. The aim is to go on with the debate in Madrid, studying the legislative proposals of the European Commission on the Common Agricultural Politics (PAC) reforms.

The agricultural sector is affected by the market volatility. Therefore it wants to continue the debate that took place in the European Parliament, especially in reference to the new budgetary frame for 2014-2020. With the aim to improve the alimentary and environmental security, the speakers will be: Franz Fischler, ex-commissioner of Agriculture, president of the Foundation RISE; Miguel Arias Cañete, minister of Agriculture, Feeding and Environment of Spain; José Manuel Silva, general director of Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission; Isabel García Tejerina, general secretary of Agriculture and Feeding; or Allan Buckwell, adviser on the reform of the PAC of ELO.
