The VIII Meeting of WATERLAT-GOBACIT Network, will take place from 3 to 5 April in San José, Costa Rica. The meeting is organized jointly by the Research in Culture and Development Centre (CICDE) of UNED, the International Public Services (ISP) and the Research Network on Latin American and Caribbean Integration (REDIALC), among others.

The main objectives are:

To make visible the processes of structural inequality, accumulation of power, impunity, confrontation and social proposals, putting them into dialogue, observing their mechanisms, actors, and concrete consequences.
Promote the production of knowledge in order to strengthen capacities to limit the negative effects of these processes on populations and their way of life.
Contribute to the development of social forms of water control and management based on the principle of equality and the substantive democratization of our societies.
