The University of Alicante has launched this week the #InteligenciaUA 2026 Workshop, part of the Specialisation Course in Strategic Intelligence for Innovative Organisations. This workshop represents one of the core phases of the programme and is aimed at professionals and organisations that work with strategic information as a key driver of innovation.

The workshop is delivered fully online and is designed as a hands-on learning space, where participants work directly with methodologies, tools and real-world cases related to technology watch, strategic intelligence and the applied use of artificial intelligence in decision-making.

Following the institutional welcome to the course, the workshop opens with the session led by Lara Rey, focused on the strategic deployment of an intelligence system. This first workshop addresses the critical early stages of implementing technology watch and intelligence systems in organisations, including the identification, definition and prioritisation of strategic objectives, as well as key issues such as system scope, critical intelligence factors, team roles and information audits.

The week continues with the following four-hour workshops:

  • Information sources and intelligence strategies, delivered by Cristina Triviño Sánchez, focusing on how to identify, assess and exploit specialised information sources and databases to monitor the competitive and technological environment.
  • Software tools for technology watch and intelligence, led by Francisco Ricau González, offering an overview of current technological solutions, including data analysis tools and the application of generative artificial intelligence to intelligence processes.
  • Intelligence analysis and production, conducted by Rubén Arcos Martín, which explores analytical techniques, the development of intelligence products and the communication of results to support strategic decision-making in complex environments.
  • Dissemination and communication of intelligence, delivered by Alba Santa Soriano, centred on designing effective communication strategies to ensure that intelligence outputs reach decision-makers, incorporating the latest developments in generative AI for communication.

The workshop also includes a roundtable discussion on real-world cases and experiences in technology watch and intelligence, where professionals from different sectors share lessons learned, challenges and best practices in applying strategic intelligence within innovative organisations.

This intensive phase forms part of a hybrid and flexible programme that combines online modules with a tutored final project, allowing each participant to apply what they have learned to a real challenge from their own professional context and to build their own strategic anticipation system.

With more than seven previous editions, #InteligenciaUA has already trained over 190 professionals, consolidating its position as a benchmark programme in specialised training for innovation driven by strategic information and anticipation, in a context shaped by digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
