On August 23rd, the International Seminar: Patenting in Chile with a Global Approach will be held from Santiago, Chile. The event is organized by the Chilean National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on the PCT.

Patenting Strategies and PCT for Patenting from Chile

This event will be dedicated to patenting strategies and the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), providing a space for information and updates on the patent filing model through this global system.

Specifically, the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) is a system for filing patent applications administered by WIPO, which allows inventors to conduct patent searches and obtain patent protection in up to 148 countries. It is considered the most significant progress in international cooperation in the field of invention patents.

The event will take place on Wednesday, August 23rd, from 9:45 am to 12:00 pm, at the Executive Auditorium of the Center for Innovation of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, located at Avenida Vicuña Mackenna 4680, Macul, Santiago. The event will also be streamed through Zoom for remote and international audiences.
